Our Fast Road Big Valve Head features larger inlet valves. This increases air flow and also reduces the port velocity around the valve throat. The head gives impressive performance gains and is ideally suited to a fast road camshaft such as the Piper HR285. The increased breathing capacity of the head will show good returns with twin 1 3/4" SUs or a 45DCOE Weber.
With a big bore engine conversion the head will raise the peak horsepower rpm. Maximum bhp occurs at a specific inlet port velocity determined by the port/valve size and camshaft selection.This velocity will occur at a lower rpm with a larger capacity engine. The head is a must for Fast Road big bore engines.
Bhp increase is approximately 25% at 3000rpm and 35% at 5300 rpm ( with a standard camshaft and K&N filters).
