About
  Us
We
have been modifying cylinder heads since 1985. Most people associate us with
MGBs. However, we cut our teeth on TR4s, winning many championships in the mid
to late 80’s, moving on to TR8s in the early 90’s...and yet more championships!
Even today, TR work accounts for more than a third of our cylinder head output.
We have also won championships with : A series, R,S and O series, Rover V8,
TR6, MG T type, Pre war MGs, Ford Pinto, Ford Kent crossflow and pre-crossflow
  heads.
We have written two successful technical guides, “How To Power Tune MGB Four
Cylinder Engines” and “How To Build, Modify And Power Tune Cylinder Heads”.
Both were written for the Speedpro series, published by Veloce. These guides
were written in conjunction with a qualified mechanical engineer, David Gollan,
  who acts as our consultant.
Peter and David work together on the flow bench to develop and improve cylinder
heads. They are currently at work on the K series head fitted to the MGF and
Harley Davidson Motorcycle heads. Both David and Peter have an intense fascination
with their craft, and strive to achieve as near perfection as we can!… The benefits
of this constant search for air flow efficiency are put into practice in our
  work on customers’ cylinder heads.
We’ve been producing B series, A series and V8 engines since 1991. Many of these
have been championship-winning race engines. All engines are built to customers’
requirements; we don’t dictate, we listen, and work with you!
One of our specialities is the manufacture of valve guides from a manganese
silicon bronze made especially for us. This material transfers heat some two
and a half times more efficiently than close-grain cast iron standard fitment
guides; this results in greater reliability particularly with lead-free use.
We stock bronze guides for many different applications, but are more than happy
to produce “one-offs” specially to order.
