Our Race winning MGB engines are built specifically for each customer.
We produce MGOC/MGCC 'Standard Race' engines, FIA 1840 engines and 1950 Class engines. We also produce a range of hillclimb and sprint engines.

We build our engines to the following specs;

ARP rod bolts.
ARP head studs.
Cometic head gaskets.
JE Race Spec forged pistons.
Factory forged steel crank.

FIA and 1950 circuit engines feature UK made forged steel conrods.
Heavy duty rear oil seal.
Balanced.
Modified oil pump.
Ball bearing oil pressure relief valve.
Duplex timing chain and gears.
Vernier timing gear.
Baffled sump.
Competition spec flywheel( Steel lightweight flywheel on FIA and 1950 circuit engines).
Competition valve springs.
Billet cross drilled race camshaft.
FIA and 1950 Circuit engines are fitted with race clutches. All other engines use Haevt Duty clutches.

Heads and blocks skimmed to achieve optimum CR.

Head specs vary to suit the class but will have bronze guides, ex seat inserts for leadfree compatibilty, competition valve springs and 21/4N exhaust valves. MGOC/MGCC will be fitted with EN52 inlet valves as are some classes of sprint/hillclimb. FIA, 1950 circuit engines and most sprint/hillclimb engines feature 21/4N inlet valves.

We offer free rolling road tuning with our engines and are happy (once the engine has been fitted in the car) to do the initial starting and bedding in of cam (for peace of mind) at no extra cost.

Sprint/hillclimb SU spec 'Fast Road' £7000 plus VAT.
Sprint/hillclimb 1950 Weber class £7500 plus VAT.
Circuit 1860 SU spec £7500 plus VAT.
Full Race FIA or 1950 spec £9000 plus VAT.
